Certification is a tool that will identify that the individual applicant is knowledgeable of the industry standards, as attained through various levels of floorcovering installation testing.  It is the responsibility of the individual to maintain the standards and his credibility.  In addition, no manner does the association guarantee that applicant will hear to the standards of his certification.  However, the retailer, homeowner, builder, architect or the interested party may report any member who does not adhere to the standards.  If, after thorough review by the Board of Directors, the member does not rectify or justifiably proved false the complaint against him, his certification will be removed from the membership of the certified Floorcovering installation by a majority vote of the board of directors.

The certified Floorcovering installer will agree to:

1. Carry the identification card at all times.

2. Personally advertise his membership and a national organization in some manner.

3. Agree to attend at least one update per year with the national meeting counts as an update.

4. Commit to displaying the decal logo of the organization daily.

5. Guarantee all labor for a minimum of one year.

6. Agree to sign the agreement./commitment/pledge.

7. Rectified or schedule all recalls with the ends possibility and a 72 are following the report of such complaints.

8. Agrees to follow the manufacturer's recommendation for installation procedures and to adhere to the CRI – 104 and CRI – 105 guidelines.

9. Agrees to promote and support the National CFI Organization, through his retailer, distributor, supplier and manufacturing network.

10. Agrees to support and promote the local CFI Pittsburgh Chapter.

11. Dress in a professional manner, which is defined as displaying the membership of the CFI on a shirt, wearing clothes that are not torn or soiled, here said it is neat and clean and displays cleanliness, and arriving in vehicles that is clean and not displaying unacceptable slogans.

12. be courteous and polite with the customer and to remember that the result is to achieve customer satisfaction.
